Apple Cinnamon Shake

A delicious shake made with the Lightly signature Flavourless shake. Recipe courtesy is a happy Lightly customer. 

Ingredients:

  • 250ml cold water (reduce water by 30ml [1 x tablespoon & 2 x teaspoons] and add ice cubes, at step 1, if desired colder).
  • 2 scoops Lightly Flavourless Meal Replacement Shake Powder.
  • 100g Pauls® Plus+ Protein Yoghurt (Vanilla).
  • 1 small granny Smith (green) apple peeled, deseeded and chopped.
  • 1⁄4 tsp of ground cinnamon powder.

For variety, replace the green apple with:
• Red apple, or
• 1⁄2 a small cavendish banana (protein = 1.4g/100g, peeled), or
• A combination of apple, cinnamon and 1⁄2 a banana.

Method:
1. Measure 250ml of water in the jug and pour into blender.
2. Weigh 100g of yoghurt and add to the water.
3. Add apple pieces to the water and yoghurt.
4. Add 2 scoops of Lightly Shake Powder on top of the water, yoghurt and apple
pieces.
5. Add ground cinnamon powder.
6. Secure the lid on the blender and blitz for 30 seconds
or until most lumps have gone.
7. Place the sieve over the open end of the jug and pour the apple
cinnamon shake mixture into the sieve, using a spoon to move lumps
around, allowing the liquid to pass through to the jug below.
8. Discard lumps from the sieve and rinse/wash the sieve immediately as the
apple pulp and shake can clog up the holes if left to dry, making it hard
to clean later.
9. Pour into your favourite glass if consuming immediately or pour into a
shaker bottle for on-the-go. Sip-Sip-Sip!! And ENJOY!!

NOTE: If the shake consistency is too thin, try:
• reducing the water by 30ml (1 x tablespoon & 2 x teaspoons), or
• only add 1⁄2 an apple.
